When mothers of young children are able to advocate for them, it is more likely children will receive the resources they need to reach their full potential. How professionals interact with mothers can either enhance or diminish their selfesteem and ability to advocate for their children.
Dr. Kogan provided insights on how professionals can empower and build the self-esteem of mothers of young children.
